Rose
The oil (rose otto) or absolute of rose petals, mainly Rosa × damascena and Rosa × centifolia. Lush, honeyed and slightly spicy or fruity, it is one of the oldest notes in perfumery.
Origin Damask rose oil is famously produced in Bulgaria’s Rose Valley and around Isparta in Turkey; Grasse is known for centifolia rose.
