Fragrance is best experienced in person. You can read every review online, but nothing beats walking a show floor, smelling a perfume on your own skin and talking to the people who made it. We built our Fragrance Events page to keep track of the gatherings worth knowing about. Here are our favorites for the 2026–27 season, starting close to home in Texas and working our way around the world.

FRAGCON 2027: Global Fragrance Convention

Houston's fragrance convention is back for year two. The first edition in August 2026 brought together fragrance brands from around the world, new launches, masterclasses, panels, creator meet-and-greets and plenty of shopping. If you only make one fragrance trip in Texas next year, this is the one.
Dallas Fragrance Experience: Luxury Scent Market Showcase

A one-day market built entirely around scent. Authorized niche and luxury retailers, decant sellers and independent perfumers share one room, alongside a perfume-making lab. It's a great last-minute holiday shopping trip for the fragrance lover in your life, or for yourself.

Tips for Your First Fragrance Show
- Pace your nose. After a dozen sniffs everything starts to blur. Take breaks, step outside and smell your own sleeve or skin to reset.
- Test on paper first, skin second. Save your wrists for the two or three that really grab you, and note which arm has which.
- Bring a notebook or use your phone. Jot down the brand, the name and your first impression. You'll thank yourself later.
- Check public vs. trade days. Some shows are trade-only or open to the public only on certain days.
